One gorgeous small ceramic pitcher with bees & flowers. There are many ceramic dishes in the bee theme available in my shop. Links to more listings at the bottom of this description. Every piece of handcrafted pottery is made by my husband & I in our Ohio studio. Each ceramic creamer is beautifully unique & perfectly imperfect just like us. If you are buying pieces to create a set - each piece of pottery will match, but all will vary from each other with brilliant uniqueness that is the hallmark of handmade. Each stoneware pitcher is built from flat slabs of clay & not wheel thrown. During the kiln firing process they can warp slightly out of round, or off center. This is not considered a defect, but instead it makes each pitcher unique & interesting. Each handled water pitcher is about 10-12 fluid ounces 5 - 6 inches tall to the spout 3.75 - 4.25 inches long at the base 1.75 - 2.25 inches wide at the base Color is something that is hard to show on a computer screen. Each different device shows color based on the factory settings. Each stoneware dish in the bee collection is first glazed by hand to highlight the bees & the red orange flowers. Wax is applied over the bees & flowers & then each ceramic piece is dipped in a lead free brown shino glaze that sits deep into the textured surface with colors like: cream, honey, brown sienna, & mahogany. The overall look of each serving pitcher is stunning. We use only stoneware clay in our ceramic handbuilding process. Stoneware is very durable & can go in the dishwasher or microwave. That's right, it is microwave safe & dishwasher safe! The pottery will warm in the microwave & when filled with hot food, so please handle it with care. Stoneware is not safe for open flames or for the thermal shock of ovens or stove tops. Stoneware clay is fired to such a high temperature the clay is forced to vitrify- which doesn't allow any water to soak in. This makes the bare clay food safe. It is for this reason that stoneware almost always has the bottoms left unglazed. All of the pieces in our Bee Pottery Collection are ready to ship!
