Here is a beautiful & fine quality antique early 20th century Birmingham hallmarked Art Nouveau silver picture/photo frame with its original green velvet backing & lovely inner green silk labelled 'The Alexander Clark Manufacturing Co., London.' The silver is hallmarked to the front on one side & bears the Birmingham Assay Office's anchor mark & a date letter 'b' for 1901-1902. It measures 6" inches high by just under 5.5" inches wide. The picture area measures 4" inches across. It is in very good overall condition with light signs of age to the velvet at the back of the frame & a water mark to the inner silk which is not visible when a picture/photo is in the frame. There is a small spilt in the silver towards the bottom of the frame just below one of the screws that attach the silver to the backing. You can see this best if you zoom in to photo 7.
