Rocky Mountain National Park Fall Aspens was taken in September 2021 by me along one of the gorgeous mountain roads that cross Rocky Mountain National Park. It is available as an amazing canvas art print or a beautiful glossy print. Hello! I am Sandy Dobbs, & I am a passionate landscape photographer. This photo was one of many that took years in the making. One of my favorite places to be is the Rocky Mountains. Since I also teach high school, that usually happens in the summer. For years I have taken photos of the beautiful scenery in Rocky Mountain National Park in the summer, & lamented not ever seeing it in person in the fall, & wishing I could see it when the aspens turns their glorious colors. Well, THIS year, to celebrate a milestone birthday, I played hooky from school, got a great deal on some airline tickets & spent three glorious days seeing the aspens in all of their incredible fall color. For two months I planned & looked forward to it, & then flew a thousand miles & arrived at the park after midnight. The next day, full of expectation & packing two cameras, we were up before dawn. Everywhere we went, I was in awe! Large splashes of color dotted the landscape. The oranges, yellows & reds stood in stark contrast to the deep greens & created an amazing view. This particular path was on the trail to Dream Lake. We went for sunrise, took pictures, & then right on the trail back we passed this creek, & the light from the sunrise was streaming onto the aspens. We had to just stop & stare for a little bit! It was all worth the wait! I captured the moment to share it with you.
