Original S22 modular candle holder by Ceasar Stoffi & Fritz Nagel from the 1960s. Rare enamelled black version - sold as a single unit. Designed by Ceasar Stoffi & produced by Fritz Nagel’s own company. Eventually they were mass produced under licence from the 1970s. in the Bauhaus tradition of modular design, beautifully organic forms can be made by configuring the candle holders - part game, part sculpture. These provide a sophisticated icon of Midcentury design. Which are striking as sculpture, or loaded with candles. The candleholder is like a meccano set for creative play.
