Bing & Grondahl Danish White Ceramic Table Lamp Elegant medium sized vintage lamp in finest white porcelain. Features a pleasing, classic shape with burgundy stripe detailing. Approximately 26cm high, including the original Bakelite lamp holder, & 11cm wide. Handmade by Bing & Grondahl in Copenhagen, Denmark in the period 1970-1987. Excellent near mint fully working vintage condition with original stickers. Bing & Grndahl was established in Copenhagen in 1853 & its brand crest incorporated the city's coat of arms. It ceased manufacturing goods under its own name in 1987 when it merged with Royal Copenhagen. Rewired with brown vintage style fabric cable, using its original lamp holder & a vintage switch. We can fit a British/Irish, European, Aus/NZ or American plug. It takes a E27 lightbulb, maximum 60w (not included), the light bulb in the photos is a vintage-look LED Filament G95 'radio spiral'. If used in the USA/100/110/120v we recommend using an energy saving/LED bulb. E26 bulbs should work but because they are 1mm smaller they need to be fully turned to ensure they make contact with the fitting. This lamp will take a European/UK type & size lampshade with a ring with an inner diameter of 1.5 inches (3.6cm). Alternatively you can use a lampshade that sits on the light bulb or a European to US lampshade harp adapter. See FAQs for full details.
