Description
Soholm Pottery Danish Ceramic Table Lamp 1960s/70s Tall & elegantly-shaped vintage lamp, handmade in Denmark. Has a traditional Scandinavian glossy dark blue glaze with shimmering light blue highlights. The lower part has an attractive textured geometric design. The neck has a satin espresso brown finish. Model number 1008, designed by Einar Johansen. Made in, Bornholm Denmark by Soholm in the 1960s/70s. Has manufacturer's details, designer's mark, & model number etched on its base. 30cm high including the lampholder & 11cm wide. Very good vintage condition with only minor signs of age. The price includes re-wiring with high quality, Italian-made fabric cable & a new plug, replacing old, worn fittings if required. You have the opportunity to choose the cable colour from a choice of black, white, dark brown, dark blue, light blue, burnt orange & old gold. It will be rewired with vintage style braided cable, retaining the original Bakelite lamp holder if practicable (let us know if you would prefer a new E27 lamp holder). If you buy more than one lamp we will ensure they are rewired with matching fittings. We can fit a British/Irish, European, Aus/NZ plug or American plug. It takes a E27 lightbulb, maximum 60w (not included). If used in the USA/100/110/120v we recommend using an energy saving/LED bulb. E26 bulbs should work but because they are 1mm smaller they should be fully turned to ensure they make contact with the fitting. This lamp will take a European type/size lampshade with a ring of 1.5 inches (3.6cm) or alternatively a lampshade that sits on the light bulb. Full details of lampshades can be found under FAQs. Note that we have attempted to show & state the condition as accurately as possible but this is a pre-loved, vintage item & some minor signs of age and/or use are to be expected. But unless otherwise stated there will be no chips or similar damage. Handmade items may have slight manufacturing imperfections from the handmade process such as air bubbles in glass & glazing imperfections in ceramics, which add to their uniqueness & charm. There may also be slight variations in the colours shown due to lighting, the camera lens & the screen the image is viewed on. Soholm Blue Ceramic Danish Table Lamp 1960S Retro Scandinavian 1008
