Adorable pink & white ceramic pottery chamberstick, handmade & handpainted in Italy. This taper candle holder features a high-backed, hooded wall that creates a hurricane lamp effect. Features include: high-arched, rounded finger hook handle, illustrations of flowers & a rooster in pink & black, glossy glaze across piece, unglazed ring around base to make this non-slip. Has the look of Majolica pottery but this piece is quite lightweight for its size. The bottom is signed: Italy A 1594 Dimensions: 3.75 Wide (side to side ) 5.5 Long (back to front) 5.25 Tall Base has 4 Diameter The front opening width ranges from 2.5 to 3.25 Wide Holds a 7/8 inch diameter candle - preferably around 4 or 5 tall. We noted the best candle fit to be 1.25 diameter with a 7/8 tapered base to help the candle rest securely upon the well area. (candle not included) Condition: in good condition. This being handmade, there are a few natural, organic irregularities but overall, this is a lovely piece.
