This is a print of my original colourful watercolour illustration which is based upon my treasured vintage Blue Bird Toffee tin. Story the work: Blue Bird Toffee was founded in Hunnington, not far from Birmingham, England, in 1898 by a chap called Harry Vincent. My Dad born 1953 tells me that he used to enjoy a toffee or two when he was a nipper. The brand is iconic to the Midlands & if you'd like to see more examples you can find vintage Blue Bird tins displayed in the Black Country living museum Dudley, West Midlands. It would make a lovely gift for anyone who loves vintage food packaging & design, & would look lovely in both a kitchen, bedroom or living room space.
