A very nice vintage brass candle holder. No maker's mark but it is of high quality. The base unscrews. The small finger ring handle, which has a flat top for the thumb to hold it steady, is attached with copper rivets. The Art Deco styling shows a ridged column with an extra-large candle holding chamber at the top which features a spike upon which to insert the candle. A substantial Wee Willie Candle or Chamber Stick, it has a very good weight to it. A good, solidly made piece. A charming & useful item to have by the side of the bed, on a bathroom washstand, a bedroom or dining room dresser, or in any room that would benefit from having a candle (in case of emergency power outage). A very high-quality item that will stand the test of time. MEASUREMENTS Height 5 1/2 (14 cm) Base diameter 5 (13 cm) excluding handle Candle Chamber inner diameter 2 (5 cm) 335 grams / 11.8 oz CONDITION It is in a lovely vintage condition with some Verdi Gris in place. Left as purchased with just a very light cleaning. Can be polished to a high shine if desired.
