SINGLE SILVER PLATED CANDLESTICK - FINE QUALITY A most handsome 19th Century silver plated candlestick of fine quality & good proportions, standing a little over one foot tall. This very elegant piece has a stepped plinth supporting a beautiful column which is unusually very lightly hammered in a stylised bark design, creating attractive light refraction. The base of the column has three applied cast stiff-leaf details & both the base & column top have very fine beading & gadrooning detail. Date: 19th Century in late Georgian style Condition: near perfect with just a little copper bleed on the gadrooning detail. Dimensions: Height 31.5 cm (12 ⅜") Diameter: 13.5 cm (5 ¼") at plinth Weight: 979 g ( 2.16 lb) Stock number: M3033 If you'd like to see more photographs, please let us know.
