VINTAGE LAKE’S CORNISH POTTERY CANDLESTICK HOLDER A beautiful black lustreware candle holder made by Lake’s Cornish Pottery of Truro, Cornwall, England. This delightfully simple minimalist design is made from terracotta & glazed with a metallic black lustre glaze which shimmers with rainbow tints similar to very tarnished silver. Lake’s apparently were the inspiration for the famous Cornish potter Bernard Leach’s work. The company started in 1872.
