Length: 48 Centimetres; Width: 30.5 Centimetres. This is a handmade item & as such, is unique. This opulent piece of fabric has been taken from a de-constructed Japanese silk obi - belt. The design is entirely in silver metallic threads in different weaves to create the picture. Fighting men on horseback. People going about their daily lives; pagodas & temples; trees & clouds. The background is a dusky pinkish purple. The backing is a medium weight plain pinkish purple silk to match the front. The cushion cover has been lined with silk fabric to protect the back of the brocade & a zip fastener as been added down one side to enable the cover to be removed for cleaning.
