It is pretty heat resistant, but the flame is not supposed to come in direct contact with the resin. If this happens, it's possible the area touched by the flame will catch on fire. The resin on fire burns like a candle. You can just blow it out, but it will emit fumes into your home. To be safe, just stick with battery powered lights. They can have the same effect as a real candle & look just as pretty -If you want to order them in sets, message me & I'll give you a coupon! -These candle holders are perfect to have on your dining or coffee table or anywhere you need a little extra light. They work great as part of seasonal themed decor! -If necessary, these candle holders can be washed with cold water & soap. Do NOT put them in the dishwasher.
