Both functional & decorative, this exclusive rustic country cottage style floating shelf is designed to create a stunning storage space to display your special items. Hand painted indigo blue with copper edging. The textured edging along the side & edges enhances the rustic feel of this piece. The flowers are hand painted to highlight & enhance items that are displayed on your shelf. They are painted on the top & sides so the cottage flower design can be viewed from above depending on the height of your shelf. Satin varnished to protect the paintwork, making it easy to wipe clean with a damp cloth or a little furniture polish. This beautiful bespoke rustic reclaimed wood shelf is individually handcrafted with attention to detail in my Derbyshire studio & not mass produced. This is a wall mounted floating shelf so you cannot see any fixings. Holes are drilled into the back of your shelf & the concealed metal fixings are supplied so it's all ready to put up on arrival. The supplied fittings are suitable for solid masonry walls & can also be screwed directly into the timber joists of a stud wall. For plasterboard /cavity dry walls you will need to purchase butterfly toggle anchor fittings/molly plugs. These will anchor your floating shelves to the inside of the plasterboard. A stud finder can also be used to find your wall studs for fixing your shelves too. If you wish to drill your own holes into the back of your shelf to correspond with your studs just let me know. Due to recent customer demand please allow a 4-5 week making time for your rustic shelf to be carefully made & decorated.
