Description

A little jar that measures about 8.5cm tall & 7cm wide. This is a handmade piece of art from start to finish & so each one is unique. Each represents a mini Scottish landscape of an atlantic puffin on a spring morning. The finished effect has been created through a lot of trial & error with the design, & a lot of testing & retesting of the glazes I use. It's been a long process but I love the final effect! The jar is handmade with rolled stoneware clay. It's stamped with a little puffin which I carved & is hand painted & dipped into various glazes to give the landscape effect you see. A flash of clay is left bare as this forms part of the landscape & gives the jar a very tactile feel.
