Description
This is a lovely large, kitsch melamine/plastic drinks tray made by Thetford in Norfolk, UK. I'm guessing it dates from the 1950s/60s judging by the design & it's in excellent condition with minimal signs of use or wear. The tray has been made in a light wood effect with a pretty & bright design of yellow roses on the front, illustrated by Edgar Knight-Barnard. This tray is the largest I've seen by Thetford & measures 23 x 10.75 (58.5cm x 27cm). However, I do have a smaller Thetford trays in a different design listed separately. The plastic is pretty thick & durable so it doesn't warp at all & the tray is in excellent condition with just a few faint surface scratches from previous use. There are a couple of tiny nicks to the edge of the tray (see pics), but they're barely noticeable. It has a clear Thetford label on the back together with the number 53465. Condition: excellent.
