An absolutely stunning pair of antique brass candlesticks made by William Tonks & Sons in Birmingham, England in the late 19th century. These lovely Victorian candlestick holders have beautiful copper detailing. The bottom is marked W.T&S with an 8 point star, which dates them post 1869 & pre-1900. They feel like real quality pieces & make wonderful antique decoration. A lovely gift for the home! The award winning William Tonks & Son was founded in 1789 by William Tonks & specialised in making decorative brass items. 7" or 18cm high 4.5" or 11.5cm wide at the base 1.1kg There is a little wear but they're in overall very good antique condition.
