This accent rug was produced with the same traditional process as has been true for generations: sheep, grazing in the nearby mountains, are shorn & the wool is washed in the river; it is carded & spun into yarn; it is dyed with natural ingredients, in this case walnut shells for the brown, & pomegranate for the black; the pedal loom is strung with cotton thread & the weaving process is skillfully completed.
