This piece was fired for three days to 2500of in my groundhog kiln. All glaze is from the natural process of wood firing. This vase has a very organic shape & dragon fly eye glass drip.10 3/4 tall 9 wide 5 base. Firing ceramics in a wood kiln is a very involved process, from the stacking of the ware in the kiln, to stacking of four plus cords of slab-wood ( scraps from a local sawmill ). The fire in the kiln needs to be maintained at a temperature of 2300 of for several days, sometimes reaching 2500 of. This means continuously stoking the kiln every 15 minutes.
