A shallow hand turned wooden bowl made from cherry with the remains of of knot left in the rim. It could also be used as a safe place to keep your keys, so you won't forget where you put them. Alternatively it would make a perfect place for your jewellery & other accessories. Or if you just like the natural beauty of wood, use it as a small show piece to accent a mantle piece or sideboard. The wood has been sealed with my own special mix of linseed oil & beeswax. This creates a food safe finish which brings out the colours of the grain, whilst protecting the wood. To keep your bowl in its best possible condition I recommend oiling or waxing your bowl at least once a month, more so if you use it regularly (which I hope you will!) If you need more advice on maintaining your wooden bowls feel free to ask anytime. I recommend washing your wooden bowls, in warm soapy water & then hand drying with a tea towel. It is best not to leave them to soak in water if you want to protect the finish & make them last a lifetime.
