For Morris, tapestry was the highest form of decorative art. Inspired in part by J. H. Dearles The Brook Tapestry & the friezes that sit beneath the Holy Grail Tapestries, this digitally printed fabric design recreates the crispness & beautiful detail of medieval tapestries. One colourway is printed on cotton velvet & two on textured cloth reminiscent of original tapestry surfaces. Each single portiere will be lovingly handcrafted just for you & you won't be disappointed. This printed velvet is wonderfully soft & really makes a statement. The back of the curtain is luxurious plain Varese velvet from designers guild. Just pick your length from the drop down menu. Our standard header style is a 3 header tape for use with rings. If you would like a rod pocket instead please let us know upon ordering what size you will need. The width of each portiere panel will be approx 52 wide. This size is perfect for hanging to or around standard sized door frames of up to approx 35 wide. This will give a loose arts & crafts style gather & works well when space is an issue on either side of the door frame.
