These unique beautifully soft natural coloured sheepskin rugs are from sheep that belonged to our friend Aggie's band of 'pirates'. The pirates were a small group of Rams who lived long & happy lives on a Welsh hillside, until eventually their piratical escapades drove Aggie to despair & potential disharmony with her neighbours. Whereupon she resolved that, sadly the era of the pirates had to end. Out of respect for the pirates, their horns have gone on to become walking stick handles & their skins were taken to Britain's oldest established sheepskin tannery in Buckfastleigh, Devon & the highly skilled craftspeople there, have used traditional techniques to produce the high quality sheepskin rugs that we are offering for sale on Aggie's behalf. We are listing two sheepskin rugs here on Etsy (a slightly larger variegated grey rug & a dark brown rug) & we will shortly be listing 3 naturally spotted rugs from Aggie's Jacob sheep on our website.
