This is a breathtakingly beautiful creamer & sugar bowl set of Homer Laughlin Karol China Gold series.What a treasure! The gold is still, well, golden, it has a subtle floral engraving which is hard to take picture of, but please look at the pictures! They capture the beauty of it. This set has been made in 1952 (HL is notoriously informative on the back stamps. They use a letter for month & a number for year when the item was manufactured. The other number is for the factory). So L52 N6 says enough to see that we have a 71-year old treasure. The creamer is in a near perfect condition despite its age. The sugar bowl has some gold loss on the mouth edge, where it met the lid, please see pic 4. The sugar bowl is 6.5 wide from handle to handle & 3 tall. The mouth is 3.5 across Creamer is 5 wide from nozzle to handle & 3 tall The back stamp reads in green: Homer Laughlin made in USA, K/L 52, N6, so those items were made August/September 1952. The gold letters read: Karol China warranted, 22K, Gold Homer Laughlin Karol China Gold, Creamer & Sugar Set, 50's
