Vintage Department Store Silverware Creamer John Wanamaker ... own a piece of Retail History John Wanamaker was a merchant who opened his first department store in Philadelphia. By the early 20th century he opened a store in New York City. As his success grew he expanded to London & Paris with the European Houses of Wanamaker. This department store was the first store to use price tags! This is a very nice old example of store/hotel silverware made by Victor S. Co. The creamer is a very nice heavyweight in silverplate. The maker's marks are on the bottom. Please see all the photos ... selling as found which is in very nice vintage condition. The creamer has a history & was used but is in fine shape.
