OOAK Primitive/Victorian/Old World Santa with needle sculpted/hand painted face. He stands approx 21 tall. His body is repurposed lumber on a wood base which is then wrapped in felt for a bit of padding. His hair & beard are made with yarn ( currently having issues finding actual wool - but I do like the way this fancy yarn looks as a beard). His coat is black/white/grayish colors with a silver thread sewn in it & lined in black. Because it is a tapestry print the colors are not exact. There is barely discernable other colors in it but you have to look close. He also has a scarf around his neck in black & white print decorative fabric. His inner skirt is a deep red in a silky like fabric, as is his hat which is trimmed in a silver trim. His gloves are a deep red felt. He holds an off white bear in one hand & two throws, one in black & white & the other a multi color print. He also holds to wrapped gifts in that hand as well. Each of my Santas take me appox 10-15 hours to makes. I do not use patterns or molds. He is signed & dated on the bottom. This is the second of this type of Santa that I have attempted. I have just started doing the needle sculpting. I usually use Sculpey or papier mache for my faces but I felt the need to try something new. They are a work in progress, I hope you enjoy them.
