A fantastic little stoneware table lamp or bedside lamp made in Fife, Scotland. This small lamp is made in a stoneware clay & has a terrific handpainted decoration in dark brown & rose pink. the decoration has a nod to the Charles Rennie Mackintosh Glasgow Style. The base is squat with a circular form which rises in a shapely form. The neck is narrow as it rises to the lamp fitting. The glaze is a mid grey oatmeal & the handpainted decoration sits in rings at the foot & is more exuberant around the shoulders. The lamp is in full working order & has been recently PAT tested. It's in excellent condition. there is a label for the maker Church Square Pottery, St Andrews on the base. The lamp base stands at 160mm tall (plus fitting) & is 130mm in diamater at its widest.
