Welcome to The Textile Trunk ~ please follow us on Instagram! ~ We are @textiletrunk A wonderful vintage French wallpaper from right around the 1960's ~ The pattern name is called Le Loup et l' Agneau & the design was taken from a 1805 fabric ( please see below) this paper was printed around the 1960s~ lovely pink & gray green tones on unbleached paper ~ Ideal for many decorative projects ( I do have another length of this paper, simply search my store for the word wallpaper & they will appear! ) The original design of this paper was designed & printed at the Jouy factory at Jouy en Josas ~ this fabric has motifs in the Directoire - Empire style & are set against a trellis background. Two mythological figures, Diana & Venus are surrounded by a drapery above which sits a pair of circular medallions. Each held in place by an arrow containing the attributes of the goddesses. To the left of the composition, above an ornamental fountain, a border embellished with sphinxes illustrates the scene from the fable of the world & the lamb. It was designed by Jean Baptiste Huret himself . Today these papers can be used for so many decorative projects , time to get creative! Gorgeous for using as wallpaper, framing, stationary ETC~ MEASUREMENTS : This roll measures approximately 6.5 yards long ( give or take! ) by approx. 32 inches wide ~ CONDITION : This antique French wallpaper is in unused condition. ~ this roll of paper has some damage on the end bits, some tape on the back of the initial bit that was exposed ~ some age marks etc. ~ Lovely but not without signs of time C 1930's 6.5 Yards Antique French Wallpaper Toile De Jouy Le Loup
