Lebus Europa Furniture - A retro mid 20th century circa 1960s veneered Europa sideboard having a bank of four drawers flanked by twin door cupboards raised on quadrille style leg. Restoration to side. Measures approx; 76cm x 160cm x 47cm. Lebus were one of the UK's largest furniture makers in the 1950s & 60s mainly selling traditional pieces to large retailers with no branding . in the late 1960s they decided to come up with a more contemporary branded range to compete with G Plan & McIntosh , & the Europa range was the result . It was aimed at a lower price point than G Plan's successful Fresco range , but wasn't as nicely finished . The styling is great , but although the main surfaces are teak veneered the handles & edging are only teak effect . The finish on the Europa range has actually proved to be very practical , so they're usually found in good vintage condition . This piece is no exception , & with it's useful run of drawers makes a very practical low sideboard & storage chest . Europa Furniture Sideboard
