Here is an exquisite handmade Victorian glass vase or centerpiece decor. It is from the estate of a wealthy 1800's shipyard owner. The top of the vase is a white ruffled lily shaped bowl. It sits upon a green glass stem that features a twist in the thicker part. The base is also green as is the trim that has been added to the bottom portion of the lily. It is stunning. It is a brilliant inspiration for floral design, or can be admired as the holder of a special centerpiece on special occasions. It is in excellent condition & measures 10 by 6 inches. I recently purchased all the small items from the Estate of a family who owned & operated a variety of enterprises in the town famous for its tall ship building. The ships would sail the world & bring back treasures from the continent & eastern seaboard. The Victorian home was filled with these magnificent finds, added to over the decades by other generations. I am up to my ears in magnificence. Victorian, Edwardian, the 20's, 30's 40's & 50's....all under one large roof. Because the items where bought from the owners, the items have not been picked over in antique shops or (shudder) thrift stores.
