An amazing piece of vintage & mid century furniture in a four drawer chest by Austinsuite. The chest of drawers consists of four hand crafted graduating drawers with each one offering excellent storage, on each drawer front there is a single large teak pull handle. The cabinet has been crafted by Austinsuite & bears their gold makers mark within the top drawer, designed by Frank Guille who was one of Britain's finest mid-century designers. His work was defined by a dedication to function, utility & simplicity he first learned from English masters Robin Day & Gordon Russell with a later scholarship in Copenhagen he studied under one of the founders of Danish modern furniture design Kaare Klint as well as various commissions for the Royal college of art. The chest is a stunning & genuine piece of vintage & mid century furniture that looks amazing with a wonderful look & styling that would suit any home or environment Dimension W 31 inches D 17 inches H 34 Inches Condition The chest is in superb condition made of teak with a wonderful colour to the grain. The chest has been hand sanded to the original wood then waxed & French polished.
