This vintage ceramic table lamp base was made in Italy, probably somewhere around the 1950s-60s. It's decorated in a sgraffito style with what look like stylised llamas - two red, one yellow & one blue. I haven't had it re-wired as different countries have different electrical requirements but you can buy lamp wiring kits for a few £/$ on the internet, or an electric suppliers should be able to supply the necessary fittings.
