Unlike wooden fold up tables, because the construction is metal, this stands quite solid. It is certainly robust enough to be turned into a kitchen or dining table. The baize is worn & dirty & the dark brown painted legs are rusty in places. So it does need work but is a really wonderful & distinctive table. The thick ply board underneath to layer has blown & undulates which has not affected the strength.
