Beautiful Rooster Candle Holder by Gunnar Ander for Ystad Metall, made in Sweden ca 1960's. TWO candle holders are available, price is for ONE piece. This is wrought iron 4-arm candelabra with a rooster at the top. The rooster is a Guardian symbol against evil in the night & Herald to the rising sun. Amazing Scandinavian candelabra, designed by Gunnar Ander (1908-1976) a Swedish designer, one of well-known Swedish designes worked for Ystad-Metall. He created innovative designs for Ystad Metall in iron & glass as well in brass & wood. This candle holder can hold 4 tapers (with a diameter of 1 cm) & it has 8 spikes for apples or treats. It looks amazing with red candles & apples, very festive! Superb scandinavian mid-century modern candle holder to add to home decor! Excellent condition, no damages.
