As an Aunty with many nieces & nephews i am forever being given pictures they have drawn. To be honest a lot of them aren't worth keeping (i can never throw any of them away though) but every now & again i would get one that i loved. The first photo is a drawing that my 4 year old niece drew of me. It inspired me to see if I could recreate it in marquetry & still keep the simple essence of a child's drawing. I really enjoy making these as the original art work holds so many memories for people. I sell these in pairs because i hand cut the two different veneers on top of each other. The result of this is 2 designs. I use two contrasting veneers (Figured Birch & Sapele) to create the unique picture. Each piece is framed with solid Oak.
