Bienvenue UpStaged Vintage This listing includes free shipping from France to most UK, US & European Addresses This is a wonderful & highly decorative PAIR of French antique brass Piano candle holders. Marked Gaveau on the back of the brackets. They are completely pivotable so that they can be angled in whatever direction you require. Originally from a rather fancy piano, Gaveau is one of the great French Piano makers, established in Paris 1847. I have seen these in Interiors magazines used to great effect mounted on the wall either side of a fabulous bed in romantic French themed bedrooms. Each of the brackets has a threaded bolt with a nut to help fix them to the piano, this would adapt easily if you wanted to wall mount them. They fully dismantle easily for fixing & for cleaning. These came from a grand old French country house. A really charming art nouveau/gothic Acanthus leaf design. in ExCELLENT antique condition. I have only given them a light clean. There is no damage at all, but there is a little Verdigris in places, they do show their age with the patina you would expect after more than 100 years.
