A lovely vintage footstool, perfectly sized for resting tired feet or to place a tray on for drinks or snacks. The stool has really nice chunky feet carved to resemble a lions paw & painted in a classical French Aubusson blue. The top has been covered with a piece of antique German grain sack. It is a gorgeous slubby linen with a fine dark blue double stripe running down the centre. The linen is old but unused, it does have imperfections associated with a hand woven fabric. I have trimmed the stool in a contrasting red & white trim using old French letter tape with the initials DU. A lovely totally individual piece in very good strong condition.
