Gorgeous Nippon (Japan) Te-Oh China porcelain bowl has a slightly fluted octagon shape & pedestal base. Every other panel on the bowl is hand-painted with a scene or flowers, & the panels between those have a lovely pattern with blue, black & gold flowers. The bowl has lots of gold gilding with those characteristic raised bumps & a little gold gilt design at the center. The outside is almost entirely white except for a single gold stripe around the base. Definitely an above-average piece of Te-Oh China. It dates from 1890 to 1921, when imports from Japan were marked Nippon. It is translucent when held up to light. Just lovely, a great display piece. Size: 6.25 inches wide at the top, 2.75 inches tall Age: 1890 to 1921 Materials: Porcelain Marks: CHINA/ TE-OH / HAND-PAINTED / NIPPON backstamp in a turquoise-y blue Condition: Very good, just a tiny bit of wear to gold gilding.
