A large aqua blue bottle Victorian bottle embossed with the words "J Kershaw & Sons Ltd Registered Trade Mark Gateshead & Leadgate". James Kershaw & Sons Ltd were aerated water manufacturers Ale, Porter, Wine & Spirit Merchants & Cordial Manufacturers. Based in Gateshead Tyne & Wear & Leadgate Consett. Established in 1878 they produced many aerated drinks including dry ginger ale & cola. This bottle is quite decorative with the company logo in the centre of a bird in a tree. It has a lovely thick glass base & would have had a vulcanite stopper. These large bottles make fantastic candle holders I will include a plastic holder which sits in the top of the bottle for your own candle.
