A rather quirky dark wood holder which is decorated with group of elderly men playing cards. it has a hook on the back so can be wall mounted. It could be used for storing mail or it would be quite nice to use it to store candles. It is difficult to date this holder I don’t even recognise the fashion from the decoupage picture that’s if it has been taken from real period clothing. I was assured it was bought in France recently & you can tell from the back & the little nails used to put it together it is of some age. It is in excellent vintage condition for a period piece & something quite different. It measures 6.5 inches in height x 5.4 inches wide x 2.6 inches deep.
