This is an attractive antique West Country tavern table dating to the latter half of the 19th century. It is a handsome hand made country piece which has been well cared for in its life. Made of oak the table is set on an X framed base & has a two plank top which is finished with brass banding. The table is narrow & tall & could serve a variety of uses in any home. The wood has a nicely polished finish, probably refinished at some point in its life. CONDITION The table is generally in good structural condition with small marks to the top & some age to the brass banding. The feet at one end sit out further than the other end, almost as if the feet are wider spaced on one side. One foot has a chip of wood missing, as shown. MEASUREMENTS height - 77.5cms width-141cms depth-40.5cms The measurements are taken at the widest points. Delivery is usually made within 3 weeks of the purchase date.
