Description
This is a useful vintage table which dates to the mid 20th century. Made of mahogany this fairly compact table is ideal for use in a kitchen or dining room, perfectly suited to a home with limited space. With the addition of a set of mismatched chairs the table can seat four people & will make a nice setting for cozy meals. The table is very simply styled with tapered block legs, a squarish top & a single wide drawer to one end. The table top would suggest that this was once used as one half of a larger table which could be hooked together, possibly for use in a school or village hall. The base of the table has been hand painted in a dusky dark green paint & then distressed & darkly waxed for an aged look. The table top has been refinished in 'Osmo-oil' a hard wearing wax oil product which is quite durable. CONDITION The table is in solid structural condition with some marks to the top. MEASUREMENTS height-75cms height to underside of front apron-59.5cms width-82cms depth - 91.5cms The measurements are taken at the widest points.
