60's Vintage Kitsch Table Lamp - Green Ceramic Finger Hold Lamp Base Depicting 18th Century Hunt Meet - Fabulous Tavern Window & Rope Detail The truest definition of the word kitsch comes in the form of this fabulous dinky vintage table lamp! The ceramic glazed scallop base is a finger hold lamp which has been retrofitted with a light fitting & a thick cardboard shade wrapped around a white wire frame with rope detail. The scene depicted on the shade is an 18th Century pre, or post hunt scene with the hunters gathering outside a tavern with horses & dogs. The tavern has a fabulous detail with a cut out section of the window which has been replaced with a paper insert & glows when the lamp is switched on. in full working order, the 250V lamp features a standard UK 3 pin plug & has an on/off push switch on the lamp fitting. There is some creasing to the upper rim of the shade which means the white shade wire is visible in some areas. The coating on the white shade wire is scratched in some places revealing the metal material. There is no other damage to the lamp or base.
