Description
This is a beautiful Fused Glass Tealight holder. Pop a tealight (I advise to use battery/LED) into the middle & it'll cast beautiful shadows. You don't have to use a candle, you could just put it in a bright or sunny place & let the light shine through. Every tealight holder is unique, the way I layer the pieces & the way it forms in the kiln is different each time. I use copper oxide powder on top of clear glass, the copper oxide gives the glass a blue tint once fired in the kiln. When the copper oxide powder & glass is heated in the kiln it produces tiny blue bubbles. It also has bits of iridescent glass which show the tiny bubbles perfectly. It goes into the kiln to be fused first, then once cool it goes back in again for a second time to shape it. This tealight holder is approx 6cm high & 11cm wide & each one is unique. I use the best glass available from Spectrum System 96. Each sheet of glass is handcut by me. There may be a slight variation in each item, due to the nature of the glass & the fact that it's handmade. This is designed & crafted by me in my home studio. The whole piece is fused & properly annealed in my kiln for over 12 hours, aiding strength & durability. Items are made to order & are posted Royal Mail.
