Oh wow. Can I say that about something I've made? Too late, it's there now. ANYWAY. This gorgeous end table is made from a disc of melted multicoloured random patterned glass, fused for several days in my largest kiln into a circular mould, then glued to a wooden disc (edged with white furniture edging for a more professional finish). This all sits atop three black metal hairpin legs, for a clean modern look without detracting from the beautiful surface. The circle of glass has slightly uneven edges due to the nature of handmade items, so at some points the white wooden disc underneath can be seen, & at some points of slightly overhangs the wooden base (only by a few millimetres). To really make the finish pop, on the last firing I added some dichroic sparkles - teeny glittery glass flakes with a shiny metallic effect. Carpet protectors are also available, these clip to the bottom of the hairpin legs to distribute the weight of the table more evenly. I would highly recommend these for carpeted flooring, as the table is quite heavy (that is also why this item can only be shipped within the UK). This item is totally unique, no other table I ever make will look quite the same, with the same colours & distribution of colours.
