Etsy - WHISPERandECHO Antique Cast Iron Trestles/ Table Legs 1917 Stamped
Description
A stunning pair of early 20th Century (stamped 1917) Iron trestles by Bayliss Jones & Bayliss Ltd (stamped in to the iron on the uprights). William Bayliss founded the Bayliss Ironworks Co in Birmingham, around 1815 & it ran under various guises & ownership right up until 1980. They were renowned for their quality iron railings, ornate gates & also cattle fencing. The design of these trestles is exceptional, having double thickness up rights & feet with stud riveting. This extra detail & strength sets them apart from the more common single round shaft trestles. These trestles are used as table legs by simply adding the table size & material of your choice. All of the original ironwork & shape are in tact, along with the beautiful antique patina. The style of this pair is also very rare & is of a very high standard of finish. Add the top of your choice for a completely bespoke table or desk. Dimensions: Width 77.5cm, Height 76cm, 41cm Deep (base of feet) Antique Cast Iron Trestles/ Table Legs 1917 Stamped
