A very rare Japanese bamboo ship’s deck chair for a child. Finely made of bamboo slats in the mid 20th century (circa late 1940’s-1950’s). The frame & seat slats are made completely from bamboo. They are fully functioning both in supporting weight for sitting & folding flat when required (obviously for supporting the weight of a child not adult) We adore the cuteness, rarity, colour & the patina on this adorable chair. Can be used as a patio chair but would also make a perfect reading or dress chair for a bedroom, playroom etc. Very stylish & very flexible. Folds flat for storage/ when not required.
