These stoneware mugs are made with either St Thomas or Lava Fleck clay The art of hand-building requires the clay to be rolled flat using a slab roller, then pattern pieces are cut & built into a desired shape (this process does mean the mugs will rarely be 100% round). It then dries for one week before being bisqued in the kiln. Next it is glazed then has a final firing.
