Herne is a representation of a deity from many pantheons. Herne is said to have inhabited Sherwood Forest, derived from Herian, a name used by the Angles for Wodan, or Odin. Herne is also said to come from the old Norse Einherjar, the Valkyries. Another suggestion is that Herne was the masculine form of Diana, or Artemis, or the Old English equivalalent of Cernunnos, who was the Celtic god of fertility, life, animals, wealth, & the underworld. Embroidered design on a 100% Cotton Cushion Cover.
