British Art Deco Turned Teak Table Lamp Designer or Artist: N/A Year Of Design: c.1940s Company or Studio: N/A Country: Britain Height: 400 mm / 15.7" Width or Diameter: 110 mm / 4.3" Notes: A vintage turned-wood table lamp with a distinctive art deco outline, made of solid walnut It is British, & probably dates to the 1940s or 1950s. The lamp has been recently waxed, giving the walnut a deep lustrous tone, & the fittings have been replaced with new parts that still maintain a period look - a Bakelite bulb holder with in-built switch & a generous length of braided twisted cable in white rayon, both of which were made in Italy, & polished solid brass accents. The lamp accepts an E27 ES Edison Screw bulb. Condition Report: Some small dents & marks to the wood, in line with its age, but nothing that detracts or distracts.
