This is a good quality antique set of four French kitchen chairs in the Louis XV style, constructed of solid beech, with rush seated ladder-back kitchen chairs, circa 1920 - 1930, with a rich colour & in excellent original condition. Featuring a shaped top rail with two further shaped rails below, in the form of a ladder-back design within the shaped upright supports; the four French kitchen chairs feature fixed rush seats, all of which are in good overall condition (see photos of each chair seat). The shaped seat frame incorporates a banded frieze. The seats are raised on fine block legs, terminating on shaped feet, to the front, with straight legs to the rear, all of which are united by elegantly shaped stretcher at front, with additional stretchers at the sides & rear, for added strength & stability. The four French kitchen chairs are solid in joint. The four French kitchen chairs boast a warm mellow colour. They boast a lovely colour & patination; this can only be achieved through age & the years of care & cleaning they have received. These four French kitchen chairs would look superb in a variety of rooms, especially the kitchen or dining room. They would certainly grace any home in either a contemporary or traditional setting; they are a great investment, as they are an extremely functional item. Condition Report: This is a good quality antique set of four French kitchen chairs in the Louis XV style, constructed of solid beech, with rush seated ladder-back kitchen chairs, circa 1920 - 1930, with a rich colour & in excellent original condition. Nominal old use marks to the leading edges but nothing significant considering the age of the item. The chair frames have been glued & the wood has been cleaned & French polished by hand, to a professional standard, in our workshop. Therefore, the colour & patination are of an excellent standard. The rush seats are in good overall condition (see photos of each chair seat). The four French kitchen chairs are solid in joint, they do not wobble & are ready to use.
